Bella's day at the Japanese Garden

This is how she felt about the fact that we got there on what must have been "peak" day! She said to me, "I think I want to be a photographer too!" I gave her my camera, fixed the settings, and whispered, "Try making photographs of the photographers," and she did! See extras--both hers. She's off to a great start, and I loved having her and the garden to think about instead of you-know-what.

It was a splendid day but very full, and I have been so rushed that I haven't yet commented on your wonderful conversation of two days ago. I hope tonight to get to it.
