Our view today

 A new location for hunting that was a good long walk at 7500 feet elevation.  Parts were flat which was good but there were some hills.  This view is from where we sat for about 4 hours waiting for the elk to show up.   They did not.

I read a whole book on my tablet while we sat there.  But it was a gorgeous day with a slight breeze and warm sunshine.  I had to find some shade which is hard to do when you are sitting in sage brush!    This warm weather is really not helping the elk hunt.  We saw more when it was freezing all day.

This weekend the freezing will be coming back.   

The best thing about being out here is we never watch the television so are missing all the election drama.
