Big Red

It’s the beginning of a week we’ve long been waiting for, looked forward to, but now that it’s here, we’re more anxious than excited. Tomorrow is Election Day here in the US, and unless it’s a landslide, it’s likely final results won’t be known for days due to record numbers of Absentee Ballots. Can it get any more stressful than this? • A positive sign this morning was seeing this magnificent male red-bellied woodpecker on the feeder just outside of our front door. We only see them in the late Fall and Winter months, and we’re thrilled to welcome back Big Red! • It’s been a busy day of grocery shopping at several places to get everything we needed and wanted. We bought a few extra items “just in case” we choose not to go out. Between rising covid cases, seasonal flu, election jitters and aftermath, plus winter weather, home is the best and safest place to be • Home Sweet Home!
