Windhover

I was able to get the out late afternoon in the last of the daylight and was lucky enough to see this kestrel out hunting. There was no 'level underneath him steady air' - instead he was definitely being 'rebuffed [by] the big wind' and really having to fight to maintain a steady hover. 

That was fortunate for me as he stayed a bit lower than he might otherwise have done... :)
