Form Follows Function

Most bike racks are so very ugly. Saw this one while walking home from grocery store. The leaf design adds an interesting artistic touch and protects bikes from rain (very important in Portland). It is amazing how many bike lanes there are in Portland which contributes to the large number of people who bike to work in both good and bad weather. Bikers get lots of exercise and biking is so very important to reducing our carbon footprint.

Finally got home from my week-long business meeting in Orlando, FL. Events went from early in the morning until late evening which made blipping difficult. I have 4 days of work this week before Diane and I take off for the Galapagos on Friday. Can't wait!
