Saturday!

Oh, I love Saturdays! I had an easy start to the day, porridge and coffee, then out for some messages including a bit of time in the Grassmarket and Victoria Street. They looked even more beautiful than ever in the sunshine and with so few people about. 
In the afternoon I met up with a fellow Canuck fora stroll in the Botanics, but the Gardens closed due to the high wind. We strolled around Stockbridge instead, also looking lovely in the sunshine. At one point my friend said something peculiarly Canadian and she exclaimed how great it was to speak to a fellow  Canadian. I know I’m grateful for her friendship and that connection to home. 

I’ve added a couple of extras - one of a shop clerk who really got into the Halloween spirit, and another of Leith. I miss working in Leith.
