A stonemason's tool?

When I walked the dog as so often we passed a local stonemason. Okay, not passed him but his "shop". He is a bit different. You will not only find big blocks and plates of granite (and some marble), raw or already partly or completely processed. He also has some things that others would probably have disposed off. Old motors, machines, etc.
This one, it looks like the front part of a trailer, was on top of a container. A strange figurehead for someone who produces tombstones.
