Darth Vader Revealed

Our one and only Trick-or-Treater told us days ago that he already had his Darth Vader costume. His parents, who nicely accessorized young Casey, asked a number of us neighbors if they could come by to let him have the traditional experience, even offering to provide the treats ahead of time if we hadn't planned anything. I thought it'd be a good chance to give something homemade, and had visions of frosted sugar cookies, but opted for another trip  up the Gorge for firewood instead.
Other neighbors (9 and 4) took a different tack leaving an envelope of tiny candy bars for us in our mail box while we were away.
Later, we heard children roaming about, but none came to the door. Wise children, to follow the new etiquette.
