A bit of a blow

Our gym has done SO much to make us safe. There’s always a member of staff by the sanitiser (and reminders are necessary for some). The cleaning regime is strict.

My early morning swim keeps my stiffness and arthritis at bay, helping to repair the battering my knees took in the first lockdown.

I’m not heartbroken about not being able to go to Madeira next week. In some ways I’m relieved as I was seriously scared about it.

But the loss of my swim and the happy and safe human contact first thing is really dreadful.

Trees and a brief walk with my camera will help. I wasn’t drenched but even the light was a touch depressing. Actually, the Middleton Hall heron looked more than a little fed up.
