Grateful

The last two days have been incredibly special. We are very fortunate to be part of the wonderful team of our local chamber music festival and they have put together Oktoberfest, 4 concerts over 2 days. Real concerts, with a distanced audience, but real live music. Katie has been very excited about this for several days. We enter Tier 2 restrictions at midnight tonight and are beyond grateful that the festival just managed to go ahead. It truly was beautiful and uplifting. The festival closed with most stunning Schumann piano quartert, with quite possibly one of the most beautiful movements I've heard. Katie was both a delight and delighted. She was at the door for both of today's concerts, hand sanitising the audience as they arrived. B joined us for tonight's concert. It was so wonderful to share a live music performance with her.
