Halloween 2020
A wild day! Windy this morning, picking up to gale force 10 by mid afternoon, and not eased all night. Along with the gales, there has been rain, heaviest this afternoon.
Up early, and a morning around the house. Headed into Lerwick to do some shopping, and then had lunch in the new café bar, No. 88. I finally managed to get out walkies with Sammy in the afternoon, before the heavy rain arrived. I've been working in the shop this evening, and a steady night of customers. Feet up now, and Halloween original movie on. There's been another coronavirus case in Shetland, this time transmitted in the hospital to a health care worker. That brings the total to 68 cases since March.
I managed to get my Halloween decorations put up last night, but had to change my plans, due to the winds arriving. I was planning using my witches I made last year, and having a graveyard theme with the witches stirring the cauldron. I made these gravestones, and the coffin this year. When the clocks struck midnight, and Halloween arrived, I took down the coffin, shortly after I took the photo, safety first. A lot of people had been up for a look last night, and enjoyed seeing it, even if it wasn't what was planned. There's been a fair few folk decorated their houses this year. Taken outside our gate, Ghoul Road, Scalloway.
