Treat time?

This week we took the dog to the hippodrome at the bottom of the street. It's a lot closer than the park and as long as there isn't an event or a rugby match on, the site is open to the public. It was rather windy, and we had a good 5 minutes of pouring rain, but at the point this picture was taken it was dry and the beast was looking cute in the hope of getting a nibble...

As spaces for walking go, it's actually quite good. There are two tracks for horses, one on grass for galloping and an inner one on clay/gravel for trotting. In the centre there is a rugby pitch, a lake and some landscaping. The overall site isn't highly developed, and with the external fence round is a good place to the the dog run freely. In a space like this he loves to run fast and chase the gulls who wander around the place, he doesn't catch them, but it's fun for him, and the landscaping make it interesting for him to see and sniff things.
