An extremely lazy morning was had by the Morgan family today. Chris is going to be on nights next week so has been staying up later/waking up later so Amelie and I got up at 7 and left him to sleep. She watched some cbeebies and I read my book before we both had breakfast and then I headed for a shower. After my shower I went back to bed with my book, where Chris was also to be found reading his book. Amelie played happily whilst we enjoyed a cuppa and our respective books in bed.

It was eventually time to get up and get on with the day and we did a big tidy before heading out to feed the poor overfed ducks at Earlswood Common. Every man and his dog had the same idea and although the seagulls were having a great time, the ducks looked rather fed up and fit to burst. Foie Gras anyone?

Amelie did brilliantly on her bike, through all the mud and up and down some little hills! Chris helped her with the first little descents and then she did some freewheeling by herself which was pretty impressive! She did quite a bit of running too but was very disappointed that we were not at an actual park with swings and slides. Daddy's fault for describing the pond as a park...

Home for some dinner preparations and facetime with Granny and Papa. We had a yummy roast chicken dinner followed by Eve's pudding which I made for the first time! I had apples to use up and fancied a change from apple crumble and was quite pleased with the result. Very quick, easy and tasty.

I think Amelie looks like a little pink astronaut with her helmet on! She really makes me laugh!
