End-of-October Garden

It rained this morning, which was lovely....despite the fact that most plants aren't actively growing right now, the garden still appreciated the rain. There's still much beauty in the garden, even at this late fall date. This rose - David Austin 'Carding Mill' featured just six days ago - is fading rather elegantly I think. It caught the late afternoon beautifully. I love the filaments and anthers...the curly brown bits that look so interesting. There's another shot of it in the extras...I think I like the main blip just a wee bit better. What do you think?

A gorgeous afternoon - spent some more time cleaning up in the garden. Always nice to get the bulk of that work done before it starts to rain. Had a lovely short game of golf midday and got my steps in. Tonight I'm making curry...a perfect fall meal!

Happy Friday!
