Snakeshead Fritillary

Today's picture is not the most brilliant image in the world but it captures a moment of absolute delight at finding this plant. It was taken on my mobile as the camera's gone to Glastonbury for a couple of days.

My son spotted it in the park near his school, we literally stumbled upon three of these and I was ecstatic. I love this flower, it's powerful and mysterious and works deeply in our subconscious - if it had a star sign it'd be Scorpio.
