Oak

A lovely bright day after the grey, the colours russet and turquoise. A low energy kind of day though, life I think, but I went for bracing walk around Faranamanagh Lake and up onto the cliffs. I met two humans and one dog but saw five alpacas, two donkeys, three goats and numerous chickens. These attractive little ruins with oak tree are reputed to be the remains of a bardic school - at least 7 years training or was it 20, a lot of it in a darkened cell trying to come up with some memorable poetry. Actually it's unlikely that they are but they are a scenic little cluster.

I am deeply shocked that so few of you have seen Last of the Mohicans - you will be thrilled to hear it is on Netflix. What better way to spend Halloween weekend than with a good film?  Please report back if you do. Just checking you've seen Master and Commander - more glorious music , who knew Russell Crowe could play so well!
