The Richards and 300 Dead Frenchmen.....

.......a trip to Penicuik to see Grandma and Grandpa. After a bowl of delicious homemade soup, we ventured down to Valleyfield for a spot of dog walking, Geochaching and marvelling at the memorial to the 300 mainly French POWs who expired during their Napoleonic War internment. I'm guessing conditions couldn't have been too good to generate that death rate. The bonus was bumping into my wee sis and my nephew. Lovely afternoon.

Earlier, I had taken advantage of the spring-like weather for a Tour de Leith (with a bit of Cramond and Portobello too).

I'm not ready to go back to work tomorrow.
