The First to Bloom....

“Heaven Scent”.... this glorious rose is the first to bloom in our garden this season. It is one of my favourite roses. Keith turned 88 today., He’s had a lovely low key day with lunch out with friends and lots of food treats. Son Duncan and cat arrived this evening and shouted us a fish and chip meal.... blue cod.... yum. Early this morning Maisie and I went walking with a friend and her lively Spoodle pup. All action and great fun until Harry the pup got some barley grass in his left ear. Poor wee fellow was very distressed and needed a trip to the vet, an aesthetic and removal of two large barley grass seeds. Floppy, fluffy dog ears can be a problem wherever there are long grasses.
