Cerddais i i'r pentref i fynd i'r siopau. Rydw i'n hoffi cerdded hyd yn oed na beicio, oherwydd rydw i'n cael mwy o amser i werthfawrogi’r lle - ac yn tynnu ffotograffau, wrth gwrs. Weithiau rhywbeth yn dal fy llygad, fel y dail hyn ger y nant y tu allan o'r cartref angladd. Mae'r dŵr yn uchel nawr ac mae'r malurion a oedd yn y nant wedi cael eu sgubo i ffwrdd.

Rydw i'n hoffi siopa pan rydyn ni angen dim ond ychydig o bethau - cyn rydyn ni angen llawer sy'n anodd ei gario. Es i i Iechyd Da, fel arfer, ac roeddwn i wedi cael sgwrs gydag Alwen sy'n berchen ar y siop.  Roedd hi'n newid rhwng Cymraeg a Saesneg yn dibynnu ar bwy oedd o gwmpas. Gwnes i edmygu ei rhuglder a'i hystyriaeth.

Roedd hi'n dweud wrtho i am gogydd Eidalaidd yn y pentref sy wedi bod yn coginio dau deg pum pryd bob dydd i helpu i helpu pobl fregus cadw'n ddiogel. Rydyn ni'n clywed yn y newyddion am bobol sy'n cwyno neu feirniadu ond dim digon am bobol sy'n helpu pobol eraill yn yr amseroedd anodd hyn. Roedd Alwen a fi yn cytuno dylen ni glywed mwy am weithredoedd o garedigrwydd.

I walked to the village to go to the shops. I like walking even more than cycling, because I get more time to appreciate the place - and take photographs, of course. Sometimes something catches my eye, like these leaves near the stream outside the funeral home. The water is high now and the debris in the stream has been swept away.

I like to shop when we need just a few things - before we need a lot that is hard to carry. I went to Iechyd Da, as usual, and had a chat with Alwen who owns the shop. She switched between English and Welsh depending on who was around. I admired her fluency and consideration.

She was telling me about an Italian chef in the village who has been cooking twenty five meals a day to help help vulnerable people stay safe. We hear in the news about people complaining or criticizing but not enough about people helping others in these difficult times. Alwen and I agreed that we should hear more about acts of kindness.
