An Unofficial Milestone

This is my 3600th blip. I picked a good one for it, I think!

I was bound and determined to get a shot of a Red-naped sapsucker during this trip and after several days of other people seeing them, I got one. I was pretty close and decided to not try to get its entire body into the shot but to hone in more closely.  I've always gotten them this time of year eating the Pyracantha berries and ta-da! Try it in large for a higher resolution  :-)

I hadn't realized until this trip how my hearing deficit affects my life. I am usually quite engaged with people I meet but I felt completely left out of conversations. Invisible. Today was better, though. I chatted with a variety of people for hours.

The weather was awesome. In fact, I was wishing I had a pair of shorts. It was sunny all day which made the 63°/17° wonderfully toasty.
In the morning I switch casitas for my last full day.
