Out by 54 days

Found this Christmas cracker today. All alone, missing its decoration chums and the tree and the tinsel. It somehow seems inappropriate to pull it. It has missed its time by 54 days, or maybe it's the earliest reminder you'll get this year that there are only 311 shopping days til Christmas. It seems destined to be loft-bound, as the thought of discarding it seems somehow cruel, beaten only by the thought of donning a paper hat for tea on the seventeenth of February. Unlikely to contribute to the family holiday fund if put on eBay, so loft it is.
