Feeling blue

A friend brought me round some beautiful blue sherry bottles at the weekend. I was delighted to find that the labels came off easily (any that don't just get recycled) so then I gave the cutting a go.

It's not a precise exercise - if I'm lucky I can get 10 decent cut glasses out of 12 on the beer bottles - some just don't break cleanly when you start alternating the boiling/cold water. The odds weren't quite so good on these - 1/3 so will need to keep trying as they will make lovely candles. Now just need to order some bigger wicks for the wider diameter/melt pool.

I also caught up with a lovely graphic designer friend this evening who's going to help me create my logo and brand - exciting stuff!
