The Irish Language Part 1

Cáca Milish. Pronounced as "Caw-ka Mill-ish". Literally translates as Sweet Cake, or just simply as cake.
The Irish language must never be confused with Scottish Gaelic even though there are many similarities. Our language is always referred to as Irish or Gaeilge (in Irish). An official language of the EU and a compulsory subject in all Irish primary and secondary schools, Irish is also the first official language of the state. Thus we have a Taoiseach, not a Prime Minister and a Cathaoirleach, not a Speaker or Chairperson in the Dáil, not the Parliament.
It is said that mastering the correct pronunciation of "Cáca Milis" is a sure way of attracting a mate, especially when roaming in foreign places.
