Parcelles

I think the French are much more organised about their land ownership that we are in the UK - probably ocurtesy of Mr Napoleon.
You can look onlinwe ot a map of the whole of France split up in to various parcelles and we know which of these we own. The one we have been working on is 163 but we have yet to start on 140 to 144 which we also own. Plenty of fun left cutting back bramblesand the like yet.
Kindly one of our neighbours has cleared 140 for us. I think because many years ago he grafted a few chestnut trees there when it was owned by someone else and I suspect he still thinks it might be his. Having cleared it, I haven't had the heart (courage?) to tell him yet.
