Castle Ring

I love the trees and the stunning views from Castle Ring, the highest point of Cannock Chase. As it has all kinds of mystical connections, it’s not a place to venture over Hallowe’en. I was happy to go this morning. 

A pause in the depressing dampness gave me the chance to wander round and enjoy the slightly chilly wind. 

My extra is the view of the now unused Rugeley B Power Station. They are in the process of demolishing it. I’ve never thought it pretty but is has had an important role in the past.
