Canada Goose
I love seeing these geese in our lakes and parks. I always assumed that they migrated between here and Canada. Not so, according to Wikipedia. They were introduced here and are quite happy to breed here, too. They only migrate between Canada and other parts of North America. Presumably when all the water freezes in Canada. They are very welcome here, although I wish they would pass their droppings in the water.
I was looking for other harbingers of Spring as we walked the dog around the lakes today. They only sign I could see was catkins or lamb's tails on the willow trees. I took some pics, but I wasn't happy with them. So. My blip is a goose.
