Room with a view

This is our second autumn in Glasgow and I cannot recall the colours being so vivid last year, I was rarely at home to notice. I feel very fortunate to lookout at this view every day, and it’s wonderful to have time to stand with a cup of coffee In hand and stare. Following the rodent incident and the subsequent withdrawal of bird feeders there is very little wildlife.
I made a start on the jack-o’-lantern, rising to the challenge set by a fb chum, using the traditional Scottish neep. Using a teaspoon to scoop out the flesh is time consuming but quite mindful.
Fell asleep during the Holyrood debate and woke to the news that we will probably be level three which means swimming will continue. Status quo in effect.
Now watching a Welsh ornithologist watching pine martens in Wales. I love that the collective noun for pine martens is a ‘richness’, almost as apt as a ‘romp’ of otters.
