Spent a couple of hours at Derwent Water this morning, mainly walking in the woods to avoid the drizzle.  I specifically wanted to see the autumn colours as looks like rain for the next seven days!  I wouldn't be surprised if October turns out to be one of the wettest on record!  It was so very very busy as its half term and the rain didn't put people off.  Oh and the colours are looking fantastic at the moment, so probably a good job it was raining as I would have taken way too many photos!  Good to get home to find a cheese scone on the back door handle (in a bag of course)  from my lovely neighbour, plus two biscuits for Misty.
