Doc Spooner

Our pastor is on holiday, so the sermon and Communion were done by one of my heroes, popularly known as Doc Spooner. He is a consultant oncologist, but the most humble and self-effacing guy you could imagine - you'll usually find him serving the coffee or working with the young lads no-one else wants to bother with.

Jesus said that if his followers wanted to be great, they had to be servants - like he was. For me and my family, Doc is truly great.
