Globe Wernicke

This belonged to my mothers parents and possibly my grandmothers father who was a solicitor, I really love it and I keep a lot of old family books and children’s books and my precious books in here, I love this old sign, miss Winifred Travell was my maternal grandmother’s sister, I do have a strong memory of meeting her, she was quite austere with a big round face, very long handled hair which was woven into tight plats around her head. She never had children and married a distant cousin very late in life. I had wanted to leave this bookcase in the room that Zebedee is now having but he refused and said if I thought it was so precious I should have it in my own room, hard to argue with low so I managed to find space and it is now in my bedroom and he is absolutely right I really enjoyed being able to see it and look at the books more easily!

Zebedee is like a steam train, he has taken the week off Work to rearrange 3 rooms in the house, Gulliver’s room which is on the ground floor and has a concrete floor as it used to be the garage is now going to be the gym, Zebedee’s bedroom is going to be Gulliver’s bedroom, he needs a large room for all his music equipment and guitars et cetera and Zebedee is moving into a smaller bedroom which we were using as an alternative sitting room which to be honest hasn’t been being used March, so today he spent the whole day painting it white, it’s all coming together and once the upheaval is over with it is going to be much much better.

I’m really enjoying watching ink Master where tattooists battle it out to see who is the best, compelling viewing!

In other news my cataracts are getting worse, been feeling rather down about it today but will call the optician tomorrow, I’m not sure how bad it is supposed to be before I can have something done about it.
