Skewered!

Another wet day, which is good. We need the rain.

I was looking out my bedroom window, over the two small cabbage trees, when I noticed something unusual. The five leading leaves on the smaller tree have penetrated a damaged leaf of the other. The damage is caused by the caterpillar of the cabbage tree moth.The caterpillars must have strong mouthparts. Cabbage tree leaves are very stringy, capable of wrecking the lawnmower.

I have filled the gaps in my journal starting on the 18th.
