Château d'Auvers sur Oise

Today we made a visit to Auvers sur Oise, some 30 kilometers northwest of Paris. During the 19th century it was a spot where various painters lived and worked, including Vincent van Gogh who spent his last months there.

Still having 1.5 hours left before lunch, we thought to have plenty (or even too much) time available to visite the Château d'Auvers sur Oise. It turned out to be different. The castle now houses an excellent exposition voyaging through the time of impressionist painters. Different themes, well prepared and supported by multimedia elements made our time fly by.
