Crown of thorns

I can't help wondering what lies beyond this gate that makes the owner so desperate to keep people out!

Quiet day partly spent emptying all the accumulated detritus from my car, as I trade it in tomorrow for a new one. In the pile now littering the kitchen table can be found bits and pieces such as scrapers, de-icer, umbrella, walking-pole, bag of plastic bags and several cassette tapes. Everything, apart from the cassettes, will be transferred into the new car, which has a cd player.

When will I ever listen to my tapes again?! Old favourites such as The Hollies, Jez Lowe, The Fratellis, 100 Greatest Classics - Part Five, 42nd Street - will they ever be played again, I wonder? It's sad, but the good news is that I can now start listening to my cd collection while I'm driving!

The other good news is that I found two ancient Werthers Originals in the glove compartment!
