Autumn Washing

I do like an aesthetically pleasing washing line! Must ask The Gardener where she got these towels next time I see her! The washing line is in the garden across the road  from where she lives! Gardens are such a luxury in calstock - some people have extensive ones, some moderate or small, many in the centre of the village noting or shared paved areas!
I had a walk in the woods and a lovely chat with Nellie of the Woods - I took cornbread and she gave me flapjack! She i missing her daughter who is a Dr up north - she doesn't think she will see her for Christmas. It's not the religious time she will miss as they don't celebrate it, but she is keenly missing her daughter. At least she is getting to see her two sons who live a little closer but are still socially distancing when they visit. I feel fortunate that it is just my sister and I and that both of us are quite content living alone. Whilst Christmas together would be lovely it's just a few days and we can get together when she feels safe to do so. I have my hens, FatCat  and Oscar for company! She has my cat Milkshake!
