Flat

A bit late posting yesterday's blip..our volunteer fire dept. had their annual fundraising thing last night...beans and cornbread (yuk) but its for a good cause so I went and pushed the beans around in the bowl, pretending to eat them :0) Always a good excuse to say hello to the neighbours that you see once a year at these things.
This is part of a ranch we pass on our way to town...its nice and green right now with wheat for the cows (not quite sure what this stuff is, I don't think it's 'real' wheat, but that's what the locals call it, some kind of grass I believe?) ... whatever it is, it's a pleasant stretch of green in an otherwise brown landscape and its vast, flat and treeless - I always enjoy passing this spot.
The road that Im on leads onto the land but is really only for people who work out there...I just pulled off here to get a shot. I tried to take 3 pics and stitch them so you could see the vastness of it but it didn't work out so I'll have to try that again another time.
