A lady in Connecticut, USA (Ann Wood) who sews by hand,  has a lovely website where she offers her patterns (and some free ones). She organized a scrap exchange recently. I emailed her my name and fabric request (quilting) and she sent me someone's email address. My match was Catherine R. in Vancouver, British Columbia. We were to make contact and send each other 8 ounces of scraps before the end of October. 

Our postal service did us proud by delivering our packages in 2 days. I am thrilled with the collection I received from Catherine. There are so many delicious pieces of fabric here that will enrich my quilting projects for weeks to come.
