Where's That Pot Of Gold?

It's been a busy (and expensive!) Monday. We had to be up early as our local family owned heating company were coming before 9 to take a look at our boiler which has become increasingly temperamental; as I feared, various parts need replacing and, by the way the engineer was shaking his head and talking about limited life expectancy (the boiler's, not mine), I could sense it wouldn't be cheap - even worse, we've got to the stage where he is the son of one of the lads I used to teach who I remember going straight into the family business when they left school in the 80s!

Other than that, it's been a day of shopping, baking bread and an afternoon walk when we had a brief shower that produced the rainbow for today's blip.

On the way back, the engineer phoned with a quote of £300 which at least is better than the £2000 he had mentioned for a new boiler!
