Stormy day

We had our flu jabs booked for this morning so took the chance to go into town and ‘shop local’.  It was really nice to potter around and visit the greengrocers and butchers, the local department store for a couple of things, and a very nice local shop that makes all it’s own soaps, hand gels etc.  While not impossible to do this where we used to be, it wasn’t as easy and it was much easier there just to do all the shopping at a large supermarket.

Back to the rental for lunch and we had considered going for a walk but the rain started and turned into a rather spectacular thunderstorm.  The front of the rental is all glass with a triple bi-fold door and an open view across fields so we had a fine view of all the forked lightning.  I’m afraid I took this through the glass!

We completed the sale of our house today; 25 years to the day since we bought it.
