Glorious golden morning.....

yet again, lifts the spirit! Enjoyed a warm, dry and calm walk up to the ridge and viewpoint to photograph yesterday's snow on the Cairngorms. Did this , but was more impressed with the descent with its colour, Cromdales and Castle, the latter just visible mid picture in the trees centrally. Saw Squirrels, Crossbills, Woodpeckers, Bullfinches and Roe bucks. Crossbills and Woodpeckers seem to speak the same language in different tones at this time of year, a sort of chip, chip, chip!
Was surprised to find a very bright, freshly emerged Red Admiral at about 400m in the sun.
