The River Eden near Chiddingstone, Kent.

A beautiful morning, which meant I could get out on my bike for a pedal around the Kent Lanes. I couldn't resist stopping for this riverside snap.

Chiddingstone, a village in the Sevenoaks District of Kent, is located on the River Eden between Tonbridge and Edenbridge.

A popular theory is that the village takes its name from a large sandstone rock formation, situated on its outskirts, named the Chiding Stone. Tradition asserts that the stone was used as a seat of judgement, mainly to remonstrate overbearing local wives.
