a different kind of day

This morning's mist gave way to blue sky and gentle sunshine. How different from yesterday! I spent the afternoon pruning and tidying in the garden, happy just to be outside, looking for signs of new growth and listening to the birds singing. I was going to make marmalade but that's not a job for a day like this one.
