Changing vineyards

We took the bus from Branson to Saillon today and walked back along the vineyard route. Stunning scenery. It was really interesting to see all the different types of vines as you can see in the photo.

The walk took us through Le Châtaigneraie in Fully...an orchard of over 1000 chestnut trees. Anyone can collect the chestnuts and over 25 tonnes are collected each year. It was great to see families out together picking the chestnuts from the floor. The two extras show carvings representing the chestnuts picking.
