The memory of a lucky duckling

I wanted to share these favourite images of mine.  I spent over an hour watching a heron fishing for lunch.  Suddenly the heron had a tiny ducking in it's beak. I thought the 'end is nigh' for the little one. Nature at work then amazingly the heron dropped its lunch and the duckling made his escape. The clocks are back and dark nights are here for a while, so stay safe and warm.
