Not many people go to Ensex in the winter as it is well off the ski pistes. However, with a small spirit of adventure, you can get there safely, it just takes a bit of effort and time! This stunning alpine hamlet has been situated on this alpage for a long time and there is an interesting bit of folk lore about the demon of Ensex who caused havoc in the village in the mid 1800's.
