Dragon on the Ice

This is a snow scultpured, fire-breathing dragon that was sponsored by the local Medical Clinic. At each kilometer marker along the race a local sponsor is there with a bonfire and to offer water, snacks and often something fun. This was incredible! You could see the puffs of flame from far off.

We completed another Book Across the Bay. They had a record year with over 4,000 participants. Big party at the end with music, chili, beer, etc in a huge tent. Perfect weather with a clear sky, bright stars and about a quarter moon. 12 degrees F at start time, down to -2 when we finished.
