Unhappy anniversary. Today(14.10) is my son's 41st birthday - his sixth in jail and six missed birthdays of his 9 year-old son. And still he waits for his appeal - over three and a half years with the Criminal Cases Review Commission. The English legal system is in tatters, made a hundred times worse by Covid, and now they want to abolish Judicial Review, one more path to justice closed.Prisoners locked up for 23 out of 24 hours a day, though thankfully not my son who has a job outside prison. More deaths from suicide and other physical and mental health issues. You won't see those figures in the Covid count.
