Molten Metal is Cool

A friend of mine is a sculptor and also teaches at the creative arts school and he told me they were doing a bronze pour today. It was really cool. There were a few other sculptors there and they all needed to make different components out of bronze for whatever they were working on. (one of which is a metal Cootie) I guess there was some kind of problem with a couple of the molds because when they poured the bronze in, flames shot up out of the holes and the molten bronze kind of bubbled like a volcano. I didn't get a good picture of that but it was interesting to watch. I just hope it didn't affect the end product.
