Suburbia

Too much (or too little)
space between things.

Individuality kicks
to escape the uniform,

reaches the boundary panting,
slumps, exhausted.

But there is a road
leaving either way.


This evening we celebrated Chinese New Year with my sister-in-law's family - a lovely way to meet them for the first time.
