Chipmunk vacation

Not being the most conscientious gardeners in the world - not much point while Ottawacker Jr. is using the lawn as a training field - our square patch of land has become something of a haven for wildlife.

The latest to come and avail itself of the seed and nut buffet is a rather rotund chipmunk, who lives in the downward spout of the eavestrough. I am really not sure how - but he does. He manages to detach it from the rest of the guttering and lay it flat on the ground. The perfect protection from Bombur the predatory cat.

When the cat's away, however, the chipmunk is in his element.
