Botolph
A productive day by recent standards, which are of being thrown off kilter by limbo uncertainty. I got a couple of lingering things off my plate, and also called the Mozambique High Commission to check on the progress of my visa application. Apparently the documents I sent by first class post on Tuesday haven’t yet arrived with the consular section, as they don’t usually reach that office in such a short time and they weren’t among the two applications on the desk. I must learn the phrase ‘glacial pace’ in Portuguese.
St Botolph’s Church is yet another ancient feature of Cambridge city centre. I read that in February this year the church was broken into and a stained glass window from 1870 broken. 2020 really hasn’t been anyone’s year has it, including churches’.
